OK SQUIRREL, MY ENTRY
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2073196/

Response

While I did not really receive much feedback from my group, on this design; The use of the words
meme-ish were used to describe my squirrel's tail. This is do to the OK sign being perceived in popular culture as a reference. Could it be that the squirrel has become as relatable object. I was really interested in how this object could be seen as cultural, so I want to put it in the world to see how it would fare. Squirrel hand is not usable, but certainly doesn't stop it from existing.

This is how OK squirrel relates to remix culture

My object squirrel hand defies all in remix culture, but will defy some understanding as well. My object had thought in them, all of them almost too much thought, this object goes by feeling which is equally important in Design as it defines chance, and the small decisions our brains make. Through this I have created an object of interest, which follows the parameters of a remix( appropriating existing objects). It also is not in anyway based of pop culture, but can now become a meme as an enjoyable, hilarious figure.

The idea of mashup and juxtaposition in the spectrum of defining two ideas in contrast to demonstrate of new way of thinking does not have a place here, you could look for ideas of fact in the  object as if we are seeing a hand as a tail, or our disconnection with animals as we when we try to have a part we make nature all fucked up. Truth is it was automation and these were essentially ideas that came out afterwards. I don't even remember coming up with the idea, just putting a hand where I thought it belonged.

Ok Squirrel is to be a cultural icon.

10 Remixed objects

10 Remixed objects
Why did I do this? Remix culture takes objects already at your fingertips to make usefully creative objects that either work functionally or are useless benign junk, in my opinion are equally important.

This concept involves a cat toy with a skull for it's bell. The skull represents the deadliness of the cats intent to kill the toy. It was going to be a brain, to show cats toying with the human mind, but decided this instead.

This includes a remix of human figures climbing the Penrose triangle. Other than the shadow ruining the illusion, the little men really make it harder to wrap your mind around this object.

The combination of brass knuckles and an iPhone holder, made this object a simple iPhone 5 mount for film making.

This unfinished anatomical Lego man light switch is one of my oddball concepts. It takes the Lego switch plate and Lego man to make a weird way to play with a Lego man's Lego dong.

A cute cat cartoon face merged with a horrific monsters body, to make this ill concept something from nightmares.

An OK sign as a hand, makes it look like the squirrel giving an OK sign with it's tail. Mostly funny, but I found a large response from my peers on this object.

He's a tool, screwing over the US country. This concept says all. the combination of a Donald Trump's face and a screwdriver.

What the hell did a make... Well for my dirty peeps who are sexually interested in mario, here you go. A Mario head and a dildo.

Really cliche, but makes for a cheap laugh to switch this with you're gym teachers only whistle. With fake lips, a mustache and a whistle; go out and have some fun.

Toy Figure from Objectified the Documentary

In Objectified there is a toy that uses simple shapes. The humanistic robot toy at first glance may be minimal, but there is much more complicated design taking place through out the tiny figure, interesting for those learning design, Who may have designed the toy remains unanswered, but it appears to belong to a Marc and acts as a source of inspiration to him. It is among other personal objects on a table, demonstrating basic looking objects, for the average basic consumer.
